But don't expect to find a certain parking garage. The Guitar Hotel free nightly, outside, music & light show is worth seeing. The casino has lots of workers on the floor. Explains why their hotel & casino are very clean. On all our walks through Hard Rock, there were people cleaning. We had a lot of fun in the casino with the slots. Portions are too big for seniors and over priced. So when little stuff like the towels & shampoo happens, it really irritates us. We are neat freaks & keep our stuff hanging or in suitcases with our personal toiletries always put away each morning so cleaning person has a very easy job with our room every day we are there. (good thing we brought our own) The cleaning lady was the only problem with our room. They sent up a bag with everything in it, 2 bath towels, 2 wash cloths, 2 hand towels, The third day the cleaning lady never left replacement hotel shampoo. We were on 20th floor with nice view facing huge pools.Ģnd day, cleaning lady only left one bath towel instead of two so had to call housekeeping. We would definitely recommend staying &/or visiting Seminole Hard Rock Hotel/Casino in Hollywood Florida. Over all, it was an awesome time spent there with a few hiccups.

It certainly has the ingredients for a Bond movie, yet it isn’t so much a James Bond movie as it is a movie ABOUT James Bond and an homage to James Bond. Another thing is that this doesn’t really feel like a Bond movie. It personally doesn’t bother me, but I can see people complain day and night about this (Indy 4). Does that piss you off? Because that is the case in this movie. Imagine Live and Let Die with CGI crocodiles. The way they use CGI in this movie may also piss off some people. The Bondgirl played by Bérénice Marlohe gets very little screentime and is a pretty useless character. And there's some stuff that didn't bother me, but may bother others. Q, played by Ben Whishaw, is kind of lame (maybe that was the point, who knows) and there's some confusing techno babble here and there. There are also a lot of references to other Bond movies which I really liked. Great action, a (somewhat) more emotional James Bond, a phenomenal villain played by Javier Bardem (who should at least get a nomination for his role), a great soundtrack and breathtakingly beautiful cinematography.

I got the Tennessean first, because it is a more accessible guitar. “And if you look at his guitars, the first three that people were aware of were the ‘57 Duo Jet, the ‘62 Country Gentleman and the ‘63 Tennessean. “When I first started pursuing Beatles guitars, my focus was on George’s instruments,” Sgro says. George Harrison used his ’63 model both live and in the studio, and it can also be seen in the movie Help! Old Maid card game, about 1890, Clark & Sowdon. Those madcap Victorians with their layers of etiquette, rules of deportment, extremes in dress, and more chose to reinforce the negative example of a spinster or unmarried woman, with a popular card game! Old Maid enjoyed a surge of popularity during the late-19th century, when American card and game manufacturers created the first wave of popular home games. Take any card deck, remove a queen, a jack, or any card, and you can play the game. (Please forgive the now-offensive images in the this blog they reflect the historical times in which they originated.) The game came to the Western world from Asia, where playing cards originated, and nearly every European country has a version with a different title. If we ignore, for a moment, the stereotypical and sexist connotations of the name, we discover that Old Maid has a fascinating history. And most dictionaries carry one more meaning for it: “A child’s card game.” Used as early as 1761 for the title of a play by Irishman Arthur Murphy, it also means an unpopped kernel in a pot of popcorn. The term “old maid” is English and means an unmarried childless woman or spinster. Illustrated detail from Old Maid card game, about 1890, Milton Bradley Company.ĭid you play card games as a child?
